What Inspires YOU?
Sometimes it can be hard to figure out what inspires you. We tend to see what is a “popular” or “trendy” craft and then gravitate towards wanting to learn it, without first stepping back and realizing “does this actually inspire me?”. You do not need to be the best crocheter or artist in order to create a hobby that inspires you. Do not feel pressured to post about your art, it should be something that is for you, and share your journey on your own terms. Also, your art does not need to be super complicated. Coloring, making jewelry, or other similar crafts are perfect outlets to receive inspiration from. You can also create activities based on your stress levels, when you are more stressed, maybe a “simpler” craft like coloring can be a great way to de-stress. When you are feeling more motivated and less stressed, try doing a more time-consuming craft that takes more time to perfect. Remember that no one is perfect when first starting out, when I first started crocheting, I was constantly messing up on my projects, and even now, 7 months into crocheting I still regularly have to restart sections of my work. This is completely normal and a part of the learning process!!!
Key takeaways to journal:
1) What inspires me?
2) What is a craft that I could do when I am feeling stressed or burnt out? What is a craft I can do that requires more time to perfect?
